Erbil, Sept. 13 (AKnews) – Hopes for Erbil FC are high as the team today beat Indonesia’s Perispura Jayapura in the first leg of the AFC Cup quarter-finals in Mandala Stadium.
Erbil won the match 2-1 as it led the match early in the first game when Erbil striker Nabeel Salah scored the first goal. Erbil striker, Muslim Mubarak gave Erbil a second goal in the second match. Jayapura scored their only goal in the match late in the second game.
The two teams are expected to play the second leg of the match on Sept. 27 in Erbil.
